Was my amended 2018 GA tax return efiled? TT recommended & presented me the chance to efile my amended tax return. When I hit file, a popup said efile season was over.

It is not possible to e-file an amended return, nor is it possible to e-file any 2018 return at all now. E-filing for 2018 returns closed in October of 2019. The only way to file an amended return is to print, sign and mail it.

Thank you very much for the response. Does it seem odd that TT gave me the option/asked if I wanted to efile my amended GA tax return?

I’m in the same situation. I haven’t gotten to the end but TT is saying the efiling season is over for the return but do I want to e-file the amendment. It sounds like I’ll get the same ‘season over’ response if I try to efile the amendment.

Federal and state amended tax returns cannot be e-filed, they can only be printed and mailed.
