Can you provide additional information about the issue that you are having and when does it happen? Provide any code or error message that you get.
Here's some general things that you can try to fix the error:
If you are using TurboTax Online
If you are using TurboTax Desktop
** If you are using the phone/tablet app, try changing to laptop/computer if possible. If you don't have access to a computer, switch to a web browser within your phone or tablet, and sign in from there.
If you are still having issues after trying these options, contact Customer Support by clicking the link below:
It doesnt matter what platform or browser you use. I have tried on Microsoft edge and Chrome on PC, Safari on my Iphone, and the app on Iphone.
- We choose how to pay for Turbotax and move on to step 2.
- We choose how to receive our federal return
- We choose how to receive our state return
- We opt in or out to the trump account
- Step 1 shows the blue button beside it again with the saved information in step 2
After completing step 2, it does not move on to step 3. If it wasnt for the saved info showing up in step 2, it would appear as if we just got to the file page for the first time.
When I go into step 2 again, it has the direct deposit option still automatically selected for federal, but it is not selected for state.
I do want to mention, I have tried closing the browser, clearing cookies, cache, etc. I mentioned I've tried doing it on different devices and browsers, including the app. I tried selecting faster deposit, paper check for state. Literally all the usual IT troubleshooting solutions i could come up with.
It doesnt appear to be an issue on our end.

Hello,
I've done all the steps (multiple times a day) and spoken to 4 'experts' - the issue is NOT resolved. Researching, I'm seeing this has happened every year since before 2020. Would be great to have a permanent fix, or to be proactive about letting your customers know how to prevent this when about to file.
Best,
If you are unable to finish filing your tax return, you can try going out of the program and going back in and trying to file again.
You can also try clearing your cache and cookies and using a different web browser.

TurboTax Online updates for new tax laws and other features, but they are done automatically in your web browser. You do not have to manually update like in TurboTax desktop software.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can manually check for updates for your TurboTax program by clicking on "Online" in the black bar near the top of your screen and selecting "Check for Updates."
Some of our customers are experiencing issues when trying to file and pay with their refund. We are investigating this issue. However, if you would prefer to file now, you can do so by switching to pay your TurboTax fees with a credit card instead of using the pay with my refund option by following these steps.
If TurboTax is not letting you continue on to e-file, here are a few additional things you can try:
Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.
Does anyone at Intuit even QA for TurboTax?
Endless loop stuck on File Step 1 Review your order. Click Start, then click Confirm Payment, then it loops back to File Step 1 Review your order. It does not proceed to Step 2 Your refund info.
Cleared cache. Cleared cookies. Restarted browser. Logged back in. Same broken system.
.
Try using a different browser to file your return. If you continue having issues you can check some of our common solutions. If your tax return can't be e-filed for some reason, TurboTax will let you know.
