W2 shows box 12 code p although not military -> TT corrected W2 is required. Employer advises an exception qualified moving expenses incurred in 2017 and paid in 2018.

Turbo Tax states I require a corrected W2 because Box 12 P-code is used and we are non-military.

From employer:

Please note that with the IRS tax reform they allowed for an exception of qualified moving expenses incurred in 2017 and paid in the 2018 relocation tax year to remain excludable (non-taxable) even for non-military. This is created a tax software conflict as the W2 references of those qualified moving benefits paid to you however as non-military this should be omitted (removed from entry) as you complete your tax return.  Please let me know if anything further is needed.

How do I resolve this conflict???

Pursuant to IRS Notice 2018-75.

Moving expenses incurred in 2017 but paid in 2018 can be reported on a 2018 W-2 with code P for non-military.

My suggestion is to print and mail and attach Pursuant to IRS Notice 2018-75.
