Do you have a copy or image of the W-2? Have you tried just keying it in by hand?
I can enter it in manually but I can't import any documents (1099-DIV, 1099-INT); it looks like there is a bug in the software for a mac. I'm going to try on a Windows laptop early next week - if it works then we know it is a bug for mac users. FYI - the windows interface is much easier to maneuver then a mac.
Although you might be able to view or print your information from the website, most banks, brokerages and other financial institutions do not have the data formatted for import into tax software before sometime in February. So if you are wanting to enter it sooner, you have to key it in by hand. Or….wait until it is available for import.
If you want to enter it manually, click the option that says “I’ll type it in myself”
There is a bug/defect in TurboTax Premier for Macbook Air laptops. I have a 15 inch M2 chip running macOS Sequoia version 15.3. When importing any information (W-2, 1099-div, etc), the word password overlays one of the fields and the field is mask with '*'. I then loaded the software on a windows machine and I imported all my information. This is not a one-off process and it should have been caught by the QA team. For a premier tax software, it is very discouraging. The W-2 is easy to manually type in but if you have complex 1099-DIV, the task is not easy and that was one of the reasons why I continued to purchase Turbotax.
