How do I start a new return with the downloaded deluxe edition without overwriting the one I just did?

Advertised as allowing up to 5 federal returns.

Using the TurboTax Desktop CD/Download version installed on your personal computer, just save the return that you are working on and then start a new return by clicking on File at the top left of the program screen and then click on New Tax Return.

You will not overwrite any information as long as you save it with a different file name.
