Using the free edition of turbo tax and after completing my taxes I received an email saying I couldn't e-file because I have to add my 2017 AGI, where do I do this?

I tried seeing where to add this but can't find any where to add this, how do I add it?

If your return was e-filed and accepted by the IRS, ignore the email.  There seems to be a timing problem.  Turbotax has been sending those emails out to mostly first-time customers, whose last-year AGI is not in the Turbotax system, telling them how to locate it.  But a lot of people seem to be getting the email after they already filed successfully.

How do you know if your taxes have been filed correctly? I'm sorry if this seems stupid but I usually had someone do my taxes for me and this is the first time I'm trying for myself.

If your return status is "accepted" when you check it, that means it passed basic security and quality control checks at the IRS.  It doesn't mean it was correct or that the IRS will agree with you, they have 3 years to audit you after you file.

If you answered all the interview questions in order and didn't jump around, the program should have gotten you all the tax benefits you can get.  Turbotax guarantees accurate calculations, assuming you give accurate answers.

But the only way to know the return is "correct" is to print a copy and review it carefully to make sure everything is correct; or to talk to an expert about your income situation and have them review the return for you.  Turbotax is self-prepared software, you ultimately are responsible for your own return.  Most people don't have complex situations and tax prep software will do just fine.

Sounds like your efile rejected for the wrong or missing AGI.  Double check your efile status here

So it says that I filed my taxes but when I click on the link above it says there isn't an e-file for it, what does this mean? How can I submit an e-file once my taxes are completed?
