Up into now, my wife and I have always filed "Married Filing Jointly" but I lost my job and was out of work the 2022 year. I was wondering how we should file this year?

Joint should still be the best way even if one spouse has little or no income.  There are several credits you can't get if you file as Married filing separately.  So just file as before but you won't have a W2.  Did you get unemployment on a 1099G?
