Unzip download does not happen.. Downloaded ok. Windows 10 pc with 64bit processing and 700GB free, Double clicked on download. Did not work. Error message and chance to use an unzip program; failed to unzip. Do what?

I don't think that Turbo Tax uses ZIP files at all.  What are you trying to unzip?  The Turbo Tax program or your tax return?

Found my old note.  Sometimes the .tax file downloads as a zip file.

Can you just take the zip off the end of the file? Did you use Microsoft Edge to download it? Try using a different browser.  Post on a .tax file downloading as a zip file, see the last 2 posts

windows 11. What was downloaded? The app is not a zip file.  Once the app is FULLY downloaded and scanned for malware by the antimalware you have installed, you should be able to right-click on it and then, extremely important, on some computers, select run as administrator.

1. If you are using windows 10, first uninstall any turbo tax 2024 app you have and the downloaded exe. file.

2. open your windows defender, the shield looking app.

3. go to firewall settings, and turn off all 3, domain, private and public. Leave this open, as closing it may reset them.

4.go to chrome, click the 3 dots and open History. Delete tha cache and data.

5. In chrome type   installturbotax.com, and select your product download.

6. find your exe. download under downloads in file manager, or the place you may have chosen to download to.

7. Double click the exe. file and follow the instructions, including entering your purchase code.

8. Very annoying. you may have to do the I am not a robot thing 4 or 5 times. it does end.

9. Go back to your windows defender and turn things back on. It only does one at a time, so do all 3.

I spent over 2 hours with tech support and they never got me to where it worked. I can only say this worked for me.
