Unemployment Income Received in 2021

Is unemployment income received in 2021 going to be subject to the same tax laws that affected the 2020 unemployemnt? i.e. Is the first $10,200.00 not taxed by the federal government?

Congress changed the tax law for 2020 unemployment to waive federal tax on the first $10,200 of unemployment.   That law does not apply to unemployment received in 2021 unfortunately----so if you received unemployment in 2021 it is taxable on your federal ---and maybe your state--- return.
