When attempting to download my data from E*Trade into Turbotax I get the following message, "Please enter your E*Trade user name that you use to log on to your E*Trade account(s)". That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm 100% sure that I'm entering the correct userid.
BTW, when I call Intuit for help I'm told to manually enter the data.

Although you might be able to view or print your information from the website, most banks, brokerages and other financial institutions do not have the data formatted for import into tax software before sometime in February. So if you are wanting to enter it sooner, you have to key it in by hand. Or….wait until it is available for import.
If you want to enter it manually, click the option that says “I’ll type it in myself”
Thanks for the response. The error message is inaccurate. I'm surprised that agents answering customer phone calls aren't aware of that. Appreciate your help, I'll wait a few weeks and try to import the data again.
My trade passed is right, but some how turbotax don't import. Keep search few minutes, then give no error message and goes quite to login screen. Any help anyone can suggest from Turbotax team ?
Here's instructions on how to enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax.
