My daughter turned 17 in November 2021, so she no longer qualifies for the child tax credit. I believe she should qualify for the non-child dependent credit of $500. On the 1040, TurboTax checked the box for "qualifies for child tax credit" (which I believe is wrong, since she turned 17), but I can't find any amount deducted or credited on any form for either credit.

Actually the rules are different for ONLY 2021---a child who is not 18 by the end of 2021 gets the child tax credit. If she was younger than 18 at the end of 2021--good news--- you get the child tax credit. It will show up on line 28 of your Form 1040
A3. For tax year 2021, a qualifying child is an individual who does not turn 18 before January 1, 2022, and who satisfies the following conditions:
Oh, I see, and then the confusing IRS advance payments are deducted from the credit. I REALLY wish they had left it alone. Taces were confusing enough already.
