Unable to file return due to R0000-500-01

My name is

First name : [PII Removed]

Last name : [PII Removed]

Since 20 characters limitations for last name. It wont accept while filling the form.

I tried following lastname during submission.

last name : [PII Removed] (20 characters)

lastname : [PII Removed]

Kindly help to provide resolution.

Please see this help article and follow the steps recommended in order to resolve rejection notice number R0000-500-01, which normally indicates that the number you entered doesn't match what the IRS has in their database.

If your name has more than 20 characters, you can enter the first 20 characters and this would not cause a rejection unless the characters entered don't match IRS records.

I have tried having first 20 characters in last name. yet rejected citing name not matching. Kindly guide for other possible solutions

Please follow all steps in the above Help Article shared by MonikaK1.  There is a section concerning if the Social Security numbers match.  This may be a case where you won't be able to e-file your returns.  If that is the case, please see the attached Help Article.
