Unable to file electronically and had to mail in a return and want to cancel

I want to cancel my mail in tax return

Sorry ... but once you have mailed in the return you CANNOT stop it  no more than you can stop any other piece of mail you put in the mailbox.   

If the return is accepted and processed by the IRS then your only option to make any changes will be to amend the return.
