Trying to download tax forms from EdwardJones. All seems to go well including it asking for ID/Password for EJ. Next screen says SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED. Even got an email from EJ that they were connected. Then next screen says "You can ask Edward Jones if you'll get tax forms this year, and return to import when they're available. If you already have the info, you can enter it by hand. (902)". That's it; no download, nothing. EJ Tech support says I am connecting, but cannot confirm TT connected. Help. Entering by HAND is NOT going to happen. That's why we buy TT.

Having same problem with multiple brokerage, investment, banks. After 1.5 hours on phone with agent, had switched to Chrome and got one download to work on third attempt, repeating same steps. All others continued to fail. All the brokerage, investment, and banks have posted that their data is ready for clients to access and download. If I'd been able to download several and not others, I might think it was an issue with the brokerage, investment, or bank; but it looks like Intuit/TurboTax has the issue or a security item specific to that import?; particularly when it worked after multiple attempts using same steps. I have no issue importing directly from any of these brokerage, investment, or banks; only have a problem with TurboTax.
Thanks for your response. I am using Google Chrome and have also tried MS Edge. So far nothing has changed on using either one. Can you share the "steps" the support team gave you? I am not having much luck getting thru to a "voice". Thanks
If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.
To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings:
If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play:

I have the same message from EJ saying a connection was made. However, even going in manually, EJ says to "STOP, these numbers are NOT final, funds under review. Calling the office, they do not know when they will be final :(. I am getting frustrated waiting!
Thank you for your reply. I have tried all of these suggestions, including contacting EdwardJones about availability and was told, "If you (me) client can download the documents, TurboTax should be able to." My documents are complete, unlike others. Just to confirm:
I am NOT using TurboTax on-line. I'm using TT Deluxe on my Windows 11 PC.
TT does connect to EJ using my credentials for EJ.
I reviewed the links sent, but nothing appeared viable for my issue.
I would REALLY appreciate spending some TELCO time with TT to walk thru this problem.
Again, thank you.
I was instructed to keep trying, using each one of the different brokerage houses. When that did not work, I was instructed to switch to Google Chrome as my default browser, because TurboTax apparently has issues with Safari (the default Mac browser). I was instructed to ALSO go directly to the brokerage site, log on and allow access if it was available on the brokerage site (not full access, just for tax data). I then tried one of the brokerage firms two additional times, then it worked (partially as it turned out) on the third attempt. After another extended series of attempts, I was instructed to wait a day, update TurboTax, and try again. Today, I was successfull in getting two brokerage data files uploaded; but TurboTax deleted my import of last year's tax file (which worked fine yesterday) and isn't giving me the option to import it again, so I'm having to manually compare the two files, to see if there are any outliers I need to check on. I've NEVER had this much trouble with TurboTax. I did have problems downloading TurboTax in a previous year, but it "suddenly worked"' and that same year I did have difficulty with a couple of brokerage firms, but they had minimal information so I just manually input the data. Good luck. I'm not ever calling again unless I'm really desperate.
No luck with any of the suggestions. It indicates everything is connected, I get email from Edward Jones indicating it is a go, but no forms appear. The forms are available but cannot seem to import following all the direction provided. TT is not very useful if you can't import forms.
I seem to be having this problem with one institution, but I think I know the reason. TT only allows 10k transactions. I am getting error code 103, which is a login error, but I think it May be due to the number of transactions i have.
I tried HR block online also, and got the same error, so it's definately not just a TT problem. I'm going to do a summary entry and mail it the 1099 as requested.
The only way around it is to use TT online which allows upload of the pdf of the statement, and enter summary info.
When a browser window opens in the Import interview to Sign In to your financial account, try allowing your LAN settings for their URL.
Remember that the IRS already has copies of your 1099's so a Category Summary is all that's required.

Unless you have wash sales or other criteria, it will tell you to send in the physical 1099b.
Yes they have it, but for some reason they want it mailed in also. TT will tell you if that is your situation.
