When importing investment information to my Mac Turbotax, I can assign the first download to myself, my wife, or joint. After that, I can find no way to change subsequent downloads to a different "owner", either before downloading or after.
Am I missing some step, or is this an unresolved bug?

In TurboTax for Mac, when importing investment information for a married joint return, you can assign the first download to yourself, your spouse, or jointly.
For subsequent downloads, the software doesn't provide an option to change the owner directly before or after importing. This behavior is by design rather than a bug.
If you need to assign investment income to a different spouse, you can manually adjust the entries after import. This usually involves reviewing the investment entries under the income section and editing details to reflect the correct owner.
In TurboTax for Mac, after importing your investment sales, you can manually adjust details to assign ownership.
To manually adjust ownership of investments:
1. Go to the Federal Taxes section.
2. Select Wages & Income.
3. Scroll to Investments and Savings and select your investment type (e.g., Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds).
4. Find and select the specific investment entry you want to edit.
5. Look for an option to edit details or owner information and change it to yourself, your spouse, or joint.
If TurboTax doesn't provide a direct ownership field, you may need to adjust the details in the description or cost basis fields to reflect ownership correctly.
