Umm, what happened to turbotax? there is no place to enter numbers manually, I have to scan the 1099`s? The old style was fine what happened?

what are you seeing?  select button "Type It In Myself"

Depends on where you are.....but manual entry is used commonly by most of us who are regular users of the software   But yeah....sometimes you have to follow a series of selections.

Usually ,  after selecting a particular form type, you have to look lower down on the screen 

"Enter Another Way"  on one screen

Then "Type it in myself" on another.
