My Brokerage (Edward Jones) emailed me that my tax forms are available. I looked at them and even printed them out. However, TurboTax says they won't be available to download until January 25th and therefore won't let me download them. Is this normal or a glitch in the system?

Financial institutions usually have your tax information available for you to view or print a few weeks before they have the information ready for importing into the tax software. If you want to enter the information now you can use the information and key it in by hand. Or you might want to wait a few weeks until you can import it directly from the website.
The brokers and funds don't usually have the 1099s ready to import until mid February. And then I always wait longer because it's common for them to put out corrected ones later. Like Vanguard.
Thanks, I was hoping that was the case because I certainly did not want to manually enter all the data. I appreciate your quick response.
