So did you prepare a married joint return in your Online TurboTax account? If so, be aware that Online TurboTax can only prepare 1 Federal return per online account per year. To prepare a second return, you would need to use a separate account with a separate fee (if a paid product.)
Would your son qualify for TurboTax Free Edition? He would still need a separate account. The Free Edition is only for very simple returns--a Form 1040 with no additional forms/schedules other than Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Student Loan Interest.
The IRS also has several Free File options reachable initially through its website that can handle all forms--if your son meets the criteria shown there. The products vary in qualifications required, and some also include a free state return, so you'd have to check all that out when deciding, too. There's actually a tool that helps you decide which of the 8 IRS partners might best serve your son, if you go that route.
Other posts here indicate you can't install/use Windows 10 US with the desktop version of TT25.
Of course, it's nonsense as they are apparently allowing Canadian users to use Windows 10 with TT25. Clearly there is no technical issue then.
You'll need to choose a different software and return/ask for a refund for your software.
