TurboTax won't let me e-file. I clicked on "I will mail" return, but it said it would not do file until next step. Now it's locked into that choice. Please help.

Thanks for the quick answer; while it worked for State, the Federal return is still in "mail" mode.  Can I do something similar to switch to e-file for federal?

That should be for both.  You can't efile state unless you also efile federal.  When you click on Add a State you are not really adding a state or working on state.  That's just to let you back into your retun.
