Box 12 may have several different items, with capital letter codes. AA, DD. W, etc. What code are you talking about?
For workplace retirement accounts, all employer AND employee contributions are combined on the W-2 and indicated with the appropriate letter codes. Later in the program you do NOT enter retirement contributions again unless you made separate contributions to a private IRA or Roth IRA. Workplace plans are NOT IRAs.
If you think your W-2 is incorrect, you MUST get a corrected copy from your employer. Trying to file with manual corrections will delay any refund, and you can't e-file if you make manual corrections to your W-2.
