I have completed my return on TurboTax Premier 2025. I am able to sign in to my TurboTax/Intuit account. But, I am NOT able to go through the payment workflow for e-filing. I have tried multiple times with no success.

If you are having issues in Step 3 of the filling process and are trying to pay your TurboTax Fees with our refund transfer program, there's a known issue that it won't let you move forward if your State refund doesn't cover TurboTax fees. Even though, you might have enough on your Federal portion to cover it.
The issue has been identified and the program should be functioning properly very soon. Please update your software and try again later today.
However, if you would prefer to file now, you can do so by using your TurboTax fees with a credit card instead of using pay with my refund.
Thank you for your response. However, this is neither the issue nor the solution. I am trying to pay by credit card. I have tried multiple times on multiple days with the same result on both my daughter's and my returns.
At this point, I have given up and printed and mailed our state returns. It seems to me that TurboTax makes it unintuitive to file the federal return electronically and the state by mail. It is a thinly veiled attempt to pressure users to pay another $25 or $40.
When you begin to enter your payment info, you're accessing a Billing server. Normally, if you click into other parts of the program (or close/open the program), and return to the pay screen, you'll be able to complete entry of your payment info (could take a few tries).
It doesn't take me to the payment screen. It simply displays a spinning icon and then displays the error message from my original post above.
I later heard from my credit card company that a charge had been declined for TurboTax in the amount of $25 due to the expiration of a virtual card, but I never even got to the payment screen in the first place. I then logged into my Intuit account and updated my credit card information. After updating my card, I tried submitting my state filing again, only to receive the same message from TurboTax. Although the credit card company DID NOT notify me of a failed transaction this time, and no $25 charge has been processed.
If you're just getting a 'spinning wheel' this sounds like a connection issue. Make sure you've turned off your anti-virus software and/or VPN.
