TurboTax Online - Rental Property Asset information did not transfer from prior year

Hello,

 

Rental Property Asset information did not transfer from prior year. I have been filing taxes via TurboTax Online for many years, and it is the first time I have having this problem. Here's what I've tried so far based on the recommendations here as well as what the customer service representative recommended. ****I cleared browser history and also cleared and restarted the tax each time I tried these recommendation:

  • Confirm 4562 was on 2024 Returns: This has been confirmed
  • Try Different Browsers: Tried Bing & Chrome
  • Try Different Computers: Tried Lenovo and HP

I saw many other posts regarding this issue for this particular year, but none of them had a actual resolution beyond the abovementioned recommendations.

TurboTax Online - Rental Property Asset information did not transfer from prior year

Please confirm that you have tried clearing your return and starting over in TurboTax Online (How do I Clear and Start Over?).

 

Your other option is to download your 2024 return and install TurboTax Desktop 2025 (How do I switch from TurboTax Online to the TurboTax software?) The advantage with the desktop version is the ability to view the forms in your return, which facilitates troubleshooting difficult issues.

 

The simplest solution may be to re-enter the rental assets using the information from your 2024 return.

Thank you for your response. I confirm that I have tried clearing my return and starting over. I cleared and restarted on TurboTax AND cleared browser history and tried on multiple browsers: Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

 

For many previous years, the rental property asset information simply transferred over from year over year. I have never had to manually enter rental property asset information, unless I was adding an renovation, etc. For current year, none of the previous years' rental property asset information is transferring over.

 

I have confidence in TurboTax and trust that you or somebody on your team can fix this.
