Turbotax online from Costco

I purchased Turbotax 2022 from Costco.  I THOUGHT there was a key or some kind of number associated to the order that would allow me to run my 2022 taxes but today when I went to my Costco order I don't see it.  No one at Costco seems to be able to help me.  Maybe there wasn't a "key"?  Maybe I'm imagining that?  But.....how do I tell Intuit that I DID purchase my 2022 Turbotax from Costco?  SOMEHOW I have to tell the online app that I have a legitimate license.

For one thing---you cannot pay for online TurboTax using that license code.  The code is only for the CD/download.  It looks like you are trying to use online Deluxe.  That is the wrong software.   Costco should be able to tell you where they put the license code.  Did you buy it in the store or online from Costco?

Yes I bought my CD from Costco.  Did you buy the CD in the store or the download from Costco online.  I help my friend buy the download from Costco online.

You need to install the desktop program.  You can not use the online version.  You don't log into Turbo Tax online account.    I bought the CD in the Costco store.  Here are my steps.

I have a ASUS Windows 10 laptop.  I bought the Home & Business CD at

Costco.  I used the Download method to install using Chrome.  The

install went smooth, no problems.  Just like last year.  Here are my

steps…..

Update Windows 10

Update Anti Virus program

Run full Scan

Paused Protection

Go to installturbotax.com

Log into my account

Enter Code, it didn't look like it was formatting it right but I waited

and it put the dashes in the right places

Download showed up in my Account

I first clicked on the little blue "copy code"

Then clicked on the big Window Download button

It downloaded the exe file in the bottom left, then I clicked on it to

start the install

Launch TurboTax

Do Updates - took a long time but it updated

But it didn't restart.  Didn't restart last year either

So clicked on desktop icon to launch

When the Activation box came up I just did  Ctrl+V to paste the License

Code that was still in my clipboard.  It worked!

Did not fill out the registration form.

Turned off Auto Updates

Turn Anti Virus back on

Start New Return and Transferred from 2021
