TurboTax is double counting income from Forms 4852 and 8919 on Form 1040

My former employer under-reported my income on my W-2 and has stubbornly refused to respond to my  requests to correct my W-2. So in TurboTax I created Form 4852 - Substitute W-2, to report the missing wages, and also Form 8919 - Uncollected Social Security and Medicare Tax on Wages, to pay the SS and Medicare tax on the missing wages. However, when I do this, TurboTax counts the missing wages twice, once on Form 1040 line 1a, and again on Form 1040 line 1g. This seems like a bug, because I should be able to file Forms 4852 and 8919 together with the same return. Or, what and I doing wrong?
