If you can't accept the fact that it is not in the company's best interests (and, in turn, that of the shareholders'), then there's not much more to say.
I mean, it is not even close to being arguable that Intuit is NOT charitable organization; the company's objective is to be as profitable as possible.
it’s in the company’s best interest to provide maximum value to his customers, and this feature does that.
as others have commented, there are other ways in which they can keep it as a feature without it being unprofitable.
and the timing of this makes it a case study for future business school student so what not to do.
you must be part of the Intuit team that decided to do this and is now justifying it! 😉

There are? The program (feature) is 100% free and even if it were otherwise, the company almost certainly has evidence of some sort that the expense of retaining the program would exceed any revenue it generated.

Yeah, right. Are you serious? Very few people connected with Intuit (i.e., employees) post on this board other than to address tax issues. I do so strictly as a volunteer; no connection with the company whatsoever.
They could at least make it a paid subscription, available year-round, with data export to TurboTax! Another reason to look at other tax products...
TT never explained the reason for discontinuing Its Deductible.

TT didn't discontinue ItsDeductible, Intuit did and it was clearly a matter of dollars and sense plus, most likely, decreased utility (or utilization) due to the substantial increase in the standard deduction.
ItsDeductible is very useful for tracking charity deductions. Also, money donations are now an above the line deduction, so would be very useful for tracking multiple small donations.

I don't believe anyone would argue that point. It's just that apparently there aren't enough folks who need (or use) that exact functionality. If there were, Intuit would not be discontinuing it.
Here we go again. Pathetic, really. Been using TT for 15 years and each year have felt less and less like a valued customer. Nonetheless stuck with them because I knew the program so well, but like many of you I have reached the tipping point and will now search for other alternatives. Too bad really, that in the US today it's all about the money and nothing else. Loyalty to customers? Ha!
I tried to send some feedback to Intuit, but I was intercepted by the AI chatbot. It said I could only post to the community if I haven't started a tax session.
I did a search for alternatives and found https://www.deductibly.app/blog/itsdeductible-alternative. I've signed up there to try it out. I'm hoping to detach from Intuit entirely.
Back to H&R with DeductionPro. It is less expensive than TurboTax. I am sure your decision will be profitable driving customers away!

Can I inquire as to why?
If the tool at that link you posted actually works, you should be able to import the data into TurboTax.
I'm so disappointed that ItsDeductible is being discontinued. I have been a loyal Turbotax customer for as long as I have done my taxes by computer. It's been decades! Over the years, I have graduated to the Turbotax Home and Business program. At my recommendation, my three children are also Turbotax customers. I have never even considered checking out the competition until now. With the discontinuation of ItsDeductible, I need to look for another tax program for myself and my family that includes a way to help us place values on our charitable donations like ItsDeductible. We're just four little customers, but I bet there are other customers out there who feel the same way that we do. We need a tax program that includes a way to place values on our charitable donations!
