TurboTax is asking for the control number for my wife's W-2 on her W-2. This is left blank so I don't have it. What do I do?

If it is blank on the W-2 leave it blank in the software. You are not required by the IRS to enter a control number.

the accurate answer is that Turbo Tax changed the way they do imports, and if you do not have a control number on your W-2, you can no longer import. They have eliminated that functionality.
