There seems to be software bug preventing user entry of year-end value of IRA for taxpayer. The box is pre-populated with "$0" and cannot be changed. See below.
Oddly, the same form/box for my spouse's IRA works correctly (it is not pre-populated with $0 and allows user entry of a year-end IRA value).
Thanks in advance for any help.

A pre-existing $0 in that box indicates there is a "Supporting Details" worksheet attached to that field.
Double-click on the $0 and it should open that worksheet for you. Then hit the big Red X at the top of the sheet if you no longer want to use it...then the normal entry in the interview will be restored......or leave it , use it, and try to remember the meaning of the $0 in this, and many other areas of the interview.

Hi SteamTrain - Thanks for your quick and very helpful reply! Your advice was just what I needed.
Although I have been using TurboTax for decades, for some reason I didn't recall that double-click feature, so I am especially grateful that you pointed it out.
