| 2022 taxable income | Tax formula | Sample calculations |
| $0–$22,000 | Taxable income × .10 | $5,000 income = $500 tax |
| $22,000–$89,450 | [.12 × (taxable income – $22,000)] + $2,200 | $50,000 = $5,560 |
| $89,451–$190,750 | [.22 × (taxable income – $89,450)] + $10,294 | $100,000 = $12,615 |
| $190,751–$364,200 | [.24 × (taxable income – $190,750)] + $32,580 | $200,000 = $34,800 |
| $364,201–$462,500 | [.32 × (taxable income – $364,200)] + $74,208 | $400,000 = $85,664 |
| $462,501–$693,750 | [.35 × (taxable income – $462,500)] + $105,664 | $600,000 = $153,789 |
| Over $693,750 | [.37 × (taxable income – $693,750)] + $186,601.50 | $800,000 = $225,914 |
The 1040 2022 tables I pulled down from the IRS seem correct, compared to 2021, I was $13.00 less this year.
