I use Home and Business windows desktop version.
I am 100% sure that I entered all necessary fields in the Business Income and Expenses section (Profit and Loss from Business), but it still shows 'Needs Review'
Then I started a new tax return and created a sample business. Once I entered the business income, it shows 'Needs Review' immediately.
Something wrong with this 2024 Home and Biz desktop version.
Please fix it!

If you see "needs review" next to any of the categories shown in the Business area of Home and Business, such as Business Profile or Business Income, open the category and check to see if there are any unanswered required questions.
When you don't see any more "needs review" categories, click Continue. You will then be presented with more questions about the business, such as about Qualified Business Income, and Uncommon Situations. It is important to read the "Learn More" links next to each item.
If you still see a "needs review" on the Schedule C after double-checking all of the categories and questions, there may be something else missing on your return that will come up in the Federal Review. If the return passes review, then it should be complete and ready to file.

@MonikaK1 I think this has been an known issue. Many people who use 2024 Home and Business windows desktop version are encountering this issue this time.
Could you please escalate it to an appropriate department and let them look into it?
Yep. Lot of us are having this issue.
I believe it's because Form 3800 still isn't ready via Turbo Tax.
It says DO NOT FILE . They keep delaying it.
@MonikaK1 - A LOT of people are having this issue.
Per posts, We've all double checked and triple checked for accuracy?
It might have something to do with Form 3800 which says DO NOT FILE?
Can you please escalate where it needs to go and get us answers?
Thanks in advance!.
i am having same problem, went through each update again and again. Thinking of returning the software to BJ and usint another.
I have the exact issue. After methodically reviewing/redoing every business entry with no success, I created a completely new TTax file and only entered only my business entries. Same problem. Despite the tact that Intuit says it won't affect your return, it's not confidence inspiring if the software thinks something is missing somewhere. Please identify what the problem is and fix it. I'm ready to file my return...
Just did todays update - Feb 21st 2025 -
"Needs review" is still there!
Everything in my return is accurate but don't want to file with a "NEEDS REVIEW" there!
Frustrating.
Very frustrating..... I don't to file without having cleared "Needs Review" either.
Despite hours upon hours of time with the TurboTax support team, no one has told me what the issue is. All of the responses are hope-related: "Reboot and run again," "Wait for the next update, and hopefully it should go away," "You're getting it because you haven't updated your OS this week. Update your OS, and hopefully it should fix itself", ..... I have heard it all. Yet, No one has said what the problem is or what is causing the bug!
I find the support team very nice. However, hoping, praying, rebooting, updating, and niceness have not given me any idea how to address the issue!
Where are you seeing DO NOT FILE? @Jenndy43
Any update on this issue?
The DO NOT FILE was on Form 3800 but it's since been updated.
However the Needs review is still there. Apparently it's a "known issue" per TT employee responses but it's been weeks now and still not fixed!!
Just took today's update (2/27) and it's still there. TT is there any update on when this is getting fixed?
2/28 problem (Business Income and expenses listing: Needs Review) hasn't been resolved.
(Mac OS Ventura, 13.7.1)
Just updated TT with today's update (2/28) .... the problem is still there!!!!
This Needs Review is also coming up on Employment Expenses under Job-Related Expenses. Needs Review is also coming up on Business Income and Expenses under Profit or Loss from Business.
I went over all of my entries a dozen times even started a new return and the Needs Review keeps coming back in those areas.
I did a Federal Review and it comes back with No Errors.
I hope Turbo Tax can fix this programming error.
