Turbo Tax says I need OS X EL Capitan 10.12 if there is a 10.12 Version, how do I upgrade if my system says I'm already up to date?

Your Mac is too old to run Turbo Tax 2018.  Sorry you either need to upgrade your Mac to a newer OS or get or borrow a newer Mac or use a WIndows computer.  Or you can use the Online internet version this year.  If you can't run Turbo Tax  you can get a refund.     <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/forms/refund-request.jsp">https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/fo...>

Thanks for the reply.  Fortunately my Mac is not to old, I upgraded to Sierra OS 10.12 which Turbo Tax likes.

Generally, if a system upgrade is available for your Mac, it will be in the Apple App Store on your Mac (and its free).  The App Store may insist that you upgrade to the most recent version your system can handle, but there are ways around that if you dig on the right tech support web sites.  (For example, if you are running 10.11 but your computer can handle 10.14, you may only be offered 10.14 in the App Store, but there are other ways if you only want to upgrade to 10.12 or 10.13.)

Thanks for the info.  I guess my system can handle sierra but i missed the download and it was pretty difficult to find.  I did finally find a link and upgraded the system so now turbo tax works.  🙂
