Turbo Tax keeps telling me that Box 15 of my wife's W2, Employers State ID, is wrong and it won't accept it. I went back and checked last years return and it is the same?

It depends.  KY state EIN numbers are 6 digits, which is a diagnostic that TurboTax is requiring for electronic filing.  However, some companies received EINs that are 5 digits, or perhaps more than 6 digits.  If your wife's EIN has more than six digits, it is because there are zeroes at the beginning of the number.  Drop those zeroes to only show the last six digits of the KY EIN.  On the other hand, if the EIN is five digits, then add a zero at the front of the number.  This will get through the diagnostic, and KY will accept the number for Electionic Filing.
