Turbo tax is saying I used turbo tax self employed to do my taxes I am not self employed my taxes are fairly simple I’ve been using TT for at least 8 years and have always just used TT deluxe

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return and start over with a lower priced edition. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2019 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

Did you enter some income that is reported on a 1099Misc?  That could have prompted an upgrade to Self-Employed.  Or did you stray into Self-Employed without realizing somehow?  if you have not paid or registered you can clear and start over to downgrade to a lower version.
