turbo tax home and business 2024 keeps defaulting to yes I have a 1099-misc when I do not. This causes it to continually say the business income section needs review although when a review is run it says there are no errors. How do i get it to say no i do not have a 1099-misc and keep that selection. I select no but it is always on yes when I check it.
Thanks,

In TurboTax Home and Business, I am able to remove an IRS form 1099-MISC reported under Personal / Personal Income / Other Common Income.
The income had been assigned to Schedule C at the screen Source of 1099-MISC Income.
The IRS form 1099-MISC income was re-entered under Business / Business Income and Expenses / Business Income.
Needs review flag to the right of Business Income and Expenses was removed.
JamesG1,
Thank you. I appreciate your reply. I checked to see where the money was entered.
When I expand turbotax to forms it shows the income entered in section 1a "Enter other gross receipts or sales not reported on a 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC".
Also, when I check for a 1099-MISC form there are none it only prompts me to
"Add form 1099-MISC worksheet".

Try going back through the data entered in your schedule C and see if you accidentally checked the box that said "Yes" for having 1099-MISC income. If you didn't then I would simply ignore the needs review tag.
checked schedule C and checked to assure I had not clicked the box that I had a 1099-misc. (I had not). Was going to take your suggestion to just ignore the flag. Fortunately, I had not filled still and after a few updates now the flag "needs review" is gone. Thank you for your idea. It was the one I was going to have to go with.
