Turbo Tax Free Version for Adult Child

Would the free version of Turbo Tax online be sufficient for my adult child (21)?

They had a full scholarship, which, I believe the room and board (about $7k) has to be counted as income.  They also made an estimated 5k at their job.   She also received a 1099-Q for money ($6k) we took out of her 429 plan to pay for summer classes, room and board.

Turbo Tax Free Version for Adult Child

Yes, the free edition of TurboTax should work in her situation, as described by you.  Information on a W-2, scholarships on a 1098-T, and the 1099-Q are all covered by the basic free edition.

The full listing of the forms that are covered by each edition of TurboTax can be found here.
