Did you enter them?  In order for them to be included in your calculations, you would need to enter the estimated payments you made throughout the year.  The program has no way to  know if you made the payments or not unless you enter the payments.

To enter the Payments (for next year) select the following:

  1. Federal
  2. Deductions and Credits
  3. Estimates and Other Taxes
  4. Estimated taxes paid

For this year, you will not need to do anything since the IRS is making the adjustment for you.

Federal estimated payments should be on 1040 line 26.  If you did not enter them the IRS caught it and added them in for you.  Did you have a tax due or refund on your return?   Did you make any state estimated payments.  If you didn’t enter state expect the same thing for state.

Look at line 26 of your form 1040.  This is where you will see any estimated payments that you would have entered.
