Turbo tax can't find my almost completed file after update

Today when I opened Turbo Tax to finish my tax return, it forced an update and now it can't find my file.  I've searched the hard drive for *.tax but it can only find prior year files.   I saved my work and accessed my return many times over the past few months prior to today.

Check cloud drives too..?

1)  MS OneDrive??  Don't put anything there that you haven't hardwired into yoru  brain.

2)  Perhaps a USB-connected off computer hard drive?  sometimes the software loses track of those because the path to it gets changed with reboots, updates...etc.

Search for *.tax*
There is no file that ends in tax.
