Turbo Tax 2024 Deluxe Using Wrong Poverty Table for Form 8962

KISS. Income 44,400, which Turbo Tax form 8962  is calculating as 304 percent of poverty level. This is the 2023 level not the 2024 poverty level. In the past agents have pointed out to users that they the previous year table needs to be used, which makes sense and is per IRS instructions. Therefore, in 2025 we would use the 2024 poverty table. A careful review of the tables shows that 44,400 is clearly below 300 percent per the 2024 tables.

Turbo Tax 2024 Deluxe Using Wrong Poverty Table for Form 8962

Although the year is currently 2025, you are preparing the 2024 tax return. ‌The 2024 tax return uses the poverty rates from the prior year, 2023 in this case.  The calculation of 304% is correct.
