While importing all of my docs TT online made me upgrade to Premier. My understanding it that this is required if you have a 1099-B. One of my docs did, but it was all $0. I did not sell any stock last year. The docs from brokerage company only had earnings for 1099-INT and 1099-DIV.
Was I forced to upgrade just be cause the doc had "1099-B" in it? Is TT not smart enough to see that 0 stocks were sold?
Is it possible to now downgrade to Deluxe without starting over?
Thanks

If the program registered that form at all in there, it would force the upgrade.
The only way to downgrade is to clear and start over, as the programs are different.
It's shameful that TT forces an unnecessary upgrade. I don't want to clear and start over because I manually entered a lot of charitable donation items and I don't want to lose another day doing the whole thing over again.
