Sometimes there is a K-1 that was transferred from a prior year. Follow the steps at How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online? and look that there are not additional K-1s in your return. If there are, you can delete them and you should be able to continue.
Thanks, but that is not it. I had no K-1s from previous years. I deleted my K-1 form and did it again. Still got the same message that I had not started. Then I looked at my tax form and my K-1 information was on that form even tho TT said I had not started it. Seems to me that there is a bug in the software and it is simply giving bad information. I found a bug last year as well -- a big one that they admitted to. Oh, and TT this year also did not know that I had made an estimated tax payment directly to the IRS. While I understand that some tax situations can be complicated, I'm surprised and disappointed with the number of bugs in TT. That is especially true now that they made it impossible to talk to a human except by spending $60. We shouldn't have to pay $60 to tell them they have a bug.
I suggest you enter the K-1 form information, you can enter estimated numbers if necessary. Once you are done, delete the form, as that may clear out errors associated with it in the program. TurboTax would have no way of knowing that you made an estimated tax payment until you entered that information in the program when you are preparing your tax return. If you completed the estimated tax routine in TurboTax, that would tell you the amount you should pay in for estimated tax, but the program cannot assume you actually made the payment.
