TT always opens with the online file program when I sign in, and sends me email to finish it. I've already downloaded the CD and exiled. How do I stop this?

Clear the online tax return.

If you have not paid for the online edition you are using, have not filed your tax return using the online edition or registered the Free edition, then you can clear your return. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the program screen while working on the 2020 online tax return. Click on Clear & Start Over.

I never even put my name in the online program.  I have no "Tax Tools" on the left side of the screen (there is only "Intuit Account" and "Sign Out."  But if I did and hit "Clear & Start over," would I not be right back where I am now?

If you are using the TurboTax desktop editions installed on your personal computer, why are you signing onto the online editions?

Have you not already installed the TurboTax software and started a 2020 tax return using the software on your computer?

Originally, I inadvertently signed in to the online version when I was attempting to buy the CD version.  So now, if I want to see their products online after signing in, all I get is the online version of the return.  I had to call them to get the download.  Since there is one ID/password for all of Intuit, I can no longer get past this online version to see or buy any of their other products.  Hence, my dilemma.

Click on Products and Pricing.  Click on CD/Download products

Or on any TurboTax web page scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on any of the links under CD/Download Products

When I sign in, there is NOTHING at the bottom of the page, as you suggested, to click on!  And I can find other products by doing as you suggested, but that was just an illustration of the result of my problem, which is when I sign in, I can't get past the online tax program.  I guess I will wait till they remove the program as an option, sometime around October, methinks!
