Hi,
As we all know from using the desktop version, each time TT opens it auto-checks for an update and asks you to click ok it if there is one to install.
However, starting with the March 14th update that was pushed out, I'm getting the following error:
Thus, could someone in the TT Tech Support area please look into this and advise why all of a sudden automatic updates aren't installing?
I also note that when the update was about to be made I was prompted to approve it via a Windows UAC prompt. This is unusual b/c the updates normally happen seamlessly in the background and require only prompts from TT itself, not the operating system, and without requiring any UAC acknowledgement from me.
So, before I go crazy and try to uninstall and reinstall TT, is it possible for TT tech support to check if the latest update patch that was pushed out might be faulty for some users? Am using Windows 11 if that helps.
Thank you.

Based on your screenshot, I would recommend closing TurboTax, updating Windows, disabling any anti-virus programs, and re-opening TurboTax to see if the update happens normally.
You could also try a Manual Update if this doesn't resolve the issue. Here's how to Contact TurboTax Support for more help.

I am having the same issue which has never occurred before and am a LONG-time user of desktop TT. I am receiving the same message except there is nothing after the check for solution link which is not active.
Windows is up-to-date so that is not the problem. TT updated the week before last and was fine. I went to finalize my return today and cannot install the updates. Windows Defender is active but has always allowed TT updates so I don't think that is the issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
Try the manual update and see if that helps:
Thank you, Brittany. I did try that and it worked. At first I was a little concern as the manual method said that it would update the FED software but not any state. However, I had no problem e-filing and both FED and CA accepted my returns.
Thanks again, Brittany!
