Trying to delete a FORM 4797 I entered in error. Instructions online to do not give good information. Please help if you know how.

To Delete a form Online follow these steps.
 

1. From the left-rail menu in TurboTax Online, 
2. Select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
3. On the drop-down select Tools
4. On the Pop-Up menu, select Delete a Form 
5. This will show all of the forms in your return 
6. Scroll down to the form you want to delete [Sale of Business Property] 4797
7. Select the Trash Can
8. Click on Delete. 

Always use extreme caution when deleting information from your tax return.  There could be unintended consequences.

You can remove a "Sale of Business Property" that you added in error. You can delete your entries for sale of business property by going back to that section in TurboTax. You can review your screens and delete any entries.

First, you can delete your entries for a sale of business property as follows:

1. Click on the search icon in the upper right of your TurboTax screen
2. Type "sale of business property" in the search box
3. Click on the link "Jump to sale of business property"
4. Follow through your screens and delete any entries you made.

If a Form 4797, "Sales of Business Property" was created and remains in your return, you can delete that Form using the following instructions:.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop:

1. Click on "Forms" in the upper right corner of your TurboTax screen to switch to Forms Mode
2. In your left panel under "Forms in My Return"
3. Scroll down to "Form 4797 Sales of Business Property"
4. Click on the form and it will display in your right panel
5. In the bottom left of the form in your right panel click on "Delete Form"

If you are using TurboTax Online:

1. Choose Tax Tools option on the left menu bar in the federal section of TurboTax
2. Choose Tools
3. Under Other Helpful Links choose Delete a form F
4. Find the Form 4797 Sales of Business Property and click on the option to delete it
