Trying to access a w2 for year 2023 it down loads just don’t know where it goes

What are you downloading to?  A computer or phone or ??  It should be in a .pdf file of your whole tax return  unless you downloaded the tax data file that end in .tax2023.   On a Windows computer the pdf file should go into your Downloads folder or look for it a Recent folder.   If you have Windows it might save it in OneDrive.  Windows has a habit of saving files there.  

Or search for all pdf files.  It might be named like....

2023 Smith {first name initial} Form 1040 Individual Tax Return.pdf
