Can not pay Federal Tax by mail .

Only option is to pay $40 to pay off $7 .

How can I complete this Turbo Tax Trap ?

If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

You do not need to pay $40 to pay any federal or state balance due ... the fee is for the use of the program to complete a return you can mail or efile.
