There has to be better software. what do you suggest beyond turbo tax?

there is a glitch in the software. specialists cannot fix it. Sched C business income not  being filled in on state return. called numerous times. all resulted invdropped calls. after long waits.

for self-prepared returns, the best software depends on the capabilities of the user including their ability to understand the questions asked and the ability to properly answer.  For some, because of the complexity of their return, some knowledge of the tax laws is required - not what Uncle Ted told them.
