The tax return is 138 pages, what is the basic return I can use to apply for a grant?

are you asking about a TT advance or something else.  also it would be rare that a return (only the forms and schedules that must be filed) is 138 pages.  TT includes many worksheets that are not required.

Check with the entity issuing the grant.  Most likely they want the 1040 plus any schedules (A, B, etc).  As noted by MSCO9241, most of the 138 pages probably consists of worksheets and notes showing how the figures were arrived at.  You don't need to include them.
