The request for additional ID is not optional on the turbotax Premier program, and i do not have ID its optional online, but not optional when the software is purchased??

You can leave the whole page blank, I think.  But if you enter some of the info, then it won't accept it unless the whole page is filled in.

I tried that, leaving it blank, it just took me right back, highlighting each question as if it is required.

@VolvoGirl is there a workaround? I forget how this discussion ended up?  I believe it is supposed to be optional but maybe once you started the form you can't get around it.

Using the desktop program, if you click on Forms mode you will see a list of forms, the ones with the (!) are the ones with errors, and the errors should be highlighted in yellow.  

You don't have any kind of government ID?  License, green card, passport, non-driver ID card, anything?

ID?  I don't know, sorry.  Is this about It's Deductible or a personal ID number? I don't know what this is about.  I know about entering a 3rd party designee.

Although the fields are still highlighted, you should be able to press "continue" if all the fields are blank.
