The company I worked for last was a Canadian company but I worked in the US. Why can’t I enter the Canadian address into my W-2 federal tax return??

The company is located in Mississauga, ON, L4W-4Y6

Maybe you neglected to check Other just above the Employer name where it says US Address or Other.  next screen choose Foreign Address.
