That means that you paid in more tax than you owe. You can get the over paid amount back as a refund.

If I picked no as an option how do I go back and change it to yes

If you have filed your return, it is too late to change it. If you have not yet filed your return, go through the File menu again and change your answer.

I went through them again but that option  isnt popping up anymore. Is there a particular option  in the menu I need  to pick

What was the question you said No to?  Was it if you wanted to apply your overpayment to next year?  I think No would be the right answer so you get  your refund now.

I thought  it asked if I wanted to apply ot to this years taxes.

Do you know what  I would go under in the menu section for that part to come up again.

The refund (overpayment) is the result of this year's taxes. You are already getting the refund.  Or by this year do you mean 2017?  You can apply your refund to next year's taxes we do in 2018 (for 2017) or get it now.  Most people want it now.

To apply your federal refund to next year, enter it under
Federal Taxes Tab or Personal (H&B version)
Other Tax Situations
Additional Tax Payments
Apply Refund to Next Year - Click the Start or Update button

Then do NOT apply it to next year.  If you said no then that was the right answer and you don't need to change it.  Read the screens carefully.

If you say to apply it to next year they will keep your refund as an estimated payment towards next year's return.
