If I'm filing an extension and it shows me getting a refund what do I put in for taxes owed?

Put in an amount smaller than or equal to the refund amount.

The form asks for an estimate of the total taxes owed (not the net or outstanding) and then the taxes you've already paid (that were withheld from your paycheck).

It's OK if the figures are off on the extension -- what's really important is the tax return.
